Details

Combining thoughtful engravings with a unique band, this ring has the clean lines and the understated elegance that defines objects that mark an accomplishment. Designed to be simple yet artful, the 4mm Band is cast from a specially developed alloy that is slightly denser than those typically used in band rings; resisting signs of wear and serving to illuminate the character of its inscriptions. Deep engraved with the University’s name on the outside and a personal inscription on the inside, the fit is unique and mindfully made by hand from reclaimed gold.

Personalisation & Options

Create your own graduation ring in 3 steps:

1. Engraving

The outside of the ring can be engraved with the University's name and your year of gradation and degree initials, for instance HONG KONG UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 2018 MA. A complimentary inside engraving is also included - which can be used for a date, a name or a short message.

2. Texture

The outside texture of this ring can be personalised. Choose between the Max’s Mirror finish and the Baltimore Brush finish. The first is a classic mirror finish that creates a bright, calm impression; the second a hand applied brush that forges a unique character.

3. Gemstone

A single stone can be set on this ring; creating a spot of light at the centre of the band. The stones chosen to pair with the band are all natural gemstones with a custom cut.

There is an additional charge of £20 for a setting a gemstone; ££75 to set a diamond.

(*We kindly ask you to consider that our goldsmiths will reproduce your engraving exactly as you enter when you personalise the ring. Please double check what you have typed and enter the text in all capitals or mixed case as you prefer. It is recommended that all capitals are used on the outside of this ring because the band is relatively thin.)

We offer Express Shipping after production is complete. We cannot accept returns on custom made pieces.

Delivery Methods

Conscious & Guarantee

Our Graduation Ring collection is designed to offer sustainable alternatives to everyday products & gifts. We work towards this in four ways:

•    We use only recycled or reclaimed precious metals in our custom rings.

•    We use fully traceable natural gemstones and encourage customers who are concerned about the environmental impact of over-mining to choose laboratory-grown synthetic gemstones.

•    Central to us reducing our environmental impact is making the rings on a custom made basis. Working in this way means we don’t make dead or unnecessary stock that has to reprocessed

The Story of Annotated’s Education Collaboration

Originally created by three friends at the University of Oxford looking for a different, but elegant way to celebrate and cherish their undergraduate memories,

This project goes back to the beginnings of the small design studio that preceded our company.

Since those earliest days, Annotated has stood for the idea that, by making things well, we could imbue our products with a sense of soul. You can feel it the moment you touch one of our Signet rings.

And being the children of university lecturers and teachers it was natural for us to combine this with the notion of celebrating education and studying for its own sake.

Over the years, the Annotated graduation ring has become our definition of one-of-a-kind and bespoke: completely made-to-order in collaboration with its owner and crafted by hand from precious metals.

Whether a graduand is someone who typically is interested in fine jewellery or not.

Please note, custom-made items cannot be returned but can be cancelled within seven days of order confirmation when production is still at an early stage.
